The coming weeks will be a busy time for Hong Seh Marine as two units of new restyle Ferretti Yachts 780 are scheduled to arrive from Italy to their new owners in Singapore this August and September 2021.
A Change of Look and a Host of New Features for Even More Comfort and Wellbeing
Ferretti Yachts 780 has so many new style and design features that speaking about it as a new boat is a well-deserved acknowledgement of profound changes at both aesthetic and functional level.
The result of collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, and Ideaeitalia for the interior design, Ferretti Yachts 780 has been rethought to align it with the family feeling of the new fleet, reprising and evolving the stylistic hallmarks introduced by Ferretti Yachts 500 and Ferretti Yachts 1000.
The new features introduced by the restyling range from the extensive glazed surfaces in the hull, giving the yacht’s sleek and streamlined profile an even sportier look, to the new layout and decor of the flybridge, with a larger central bar area in the standard layout. The major redesign of the interiors introduces several highly appreciated new features found on the latest models in the range, including a choice of two decor moods: Classic, with warmer and more traditional colours inspired by the island of Ischia in the Gulf of Naples; and Contemporary, a more urban and modern look with cooler colourways inspired by Taormina in Sicily. The first new-era Ferretti Yachts 780 presented will feature the Classic mood.

31 March 2019 – Hong Seh Marine launches two new Boston Whaler, the 350 Realm and 320 Vantage on Saturday, 30thMarch. Honored guests witness the launch of these two-inspired unsinkable masterpiece on a Saturday evening, held at the Republic Singapore Yacht Club, previewing the 2019 Singapore Yacht Show.
“We are proud to debut the 2 most sophisticated Whalers, first time in Singapore at the upcoming Singapore Yacht Show” said Edward Tan, Executive Director for Hong Seh Group. “We are thrilled to be the first in Asia to introduce the 2 new Boston Whalers to our Singapore audience. The Boston Whaler 320 Vantage was first launched in 2015 at the Miami boat show. The biggest in the Vantage range consisted of a 230 and a 270 is designed for versatility and all day-comfort, providing serious fishing, joyful entertaining, watersports or cruising, even a place to sneak in a nap or an overnight stay. The 320 Vantage boast a roomy dual console layout with innovative seating and amenities for every activity, fitted with two Mercury Verado 250s with joystick piloting. This rock-solid control meets the ultimate and ready for your day. Although the Vantage boats are designed primarily as a standalone boat, many Boston Whaler models offer great versatility and serve as potential superyacht tenders.
For those after a slightly larger craft, the Boston Whaler 350 Realm, the first in a new family of Boston Whaler express models, combines impressive capability with purposeful features and unsurpassed comfort. From entertaining friends and family, discovering far-flung islands, chasing deep sea fishing, or spending long days at anchor, the 350 is perfectly suited for any adventure. 23 May 2018 – Hong Seh Marine closed record sales in 2018, with the sale of a Riva 76 Perseo and a few brokerage boats following a successful Singapore Yacht Show 2018.
Celebrating the debut of several luxury yachts in Singapore at the Singapore Yacht Show, Hong Seh Marine hosted cocktail evenings for clients and industry partners from Ferretti, Cranchi and Boston Whaler. “We are pleased to debut new yachts as well as signature bestsellers such as the Cranchi Trawler 43 at the Singapore Yacht Show 2018. The show is increasingly becoming an important one as the yachting lifestyle grows exponentially in South East Asia,” says Edward Tan, Group Executive Director, Hong Seh Group.
The company’s official announcement of a partnership with Pacific Radiance, a division of CrestSA Marine & Offshore Ship Repair, was met with enthusiasm from the industry and clients alike. The first full-service facility in Singapore will have capabilities of handling build up and service repairs of superyachts.
Providing haul up and hot work services for yachts over 90 metres long, the 30,000 square-metreshipyard has two dry docks – a 90m and a 100m long berth. The shipyard also has a 95m to 120m water frontage for afloat repairs and services as well as two 32-tonne dock and wharf cranes. Additionally, the shipyard is equipped with facilities for equipment fabrication, testing and maintenance and will house Hong Seh Marine’s project management team for third-party vessels built both locally and internationally.
26 April 2018 – Cranchi Settantotto will be the new flagship of Cranchi Shipyard.
Its debut on the market is scheduled for 2019.
With the recent arrival of the moulds at the Seventy Plant 4 in Rogolo, the production of this model enters its operational phase. 12 April 2018 – Hong Seh Marine, distributor of luxury cars, yachts and boats, will launch the Boston Whaler 315 Conquest at the Singapore Yacht Show 2018 in April this year. The launch will be accompanied by the company’s official announcement of partnership with a local shipyard. The shipyard will have capabilities of handling superyachts in Singapore as well as a new body shop specialising in automotive restoration and repair services.
With the 315 Conquest, Boston Whaler has pulled out all the stops and sealed its position of being on the cutting edge of the boatbuilding industry.

From the 315’s major features, such as the integrated windshield-hardtop system that optimises visibility, down to the subtle details, like a recessed grab handle on the side of the port lounge, the 315 is a thoroughly impressive and innovative boat.,” said Ron Berman, BostonWhaler’s vice president of product development and engineering.
Boston Whaler’s innovative designs and premium-quality materials are emphasised in the superior comfort, convenience and utility throughout the boat. Nowhere is this effort more apparent than in the helm area.
Overhead, the cutting-edge hardtop provides weather protection to the helm and can be outfitted with radar, a spotlight and outriggers for enhanced utility and captain convenience. 3rd April 2018 – Hong Seh Marine celebrates 10 years of maritime excellence this year. The festivities commenced under the stars as 320 guests at Ola Beach Club, Sentosa witnessed the unveiling of two yachts from Hong Seh Marine’s longtime partner, Ferretti Group—FY850 Tai He Ban Edition and FY 550.
A stunning Hawaiian performance by artistes from Vocalise accompanied the new Ferretti Yachts 850 and 550 as they cruised the waters in front of the beach club, much to the delight of their owners and guests. Both Ferretti yachts were making their debut in Singapore.
Fabiomassimo Discoli, Sales Manager, Ferretti Group Asia Pacific represented Ferretti Group—a leader in the construction of luxury yachts and pleasure crafts—at the milestone celebrations. “Our partnership started with Riva Yachts 10 years ago,” he recounts. “Wehave been fortunate to grow in Singapore with Alfred and Edward. Ferretti Group has been increasing our partnership with Hong Seh Marine and we will be working together to deliver yachting freedom in Singapore”
Hong Seh Marine is a subsidiary of Hong Seh Group—which marks its 50th anniversary this year. Hong Seh Group was started by Chop Hong Seh in 1936 and has evolved from selling plastics and chemicals to luxury automotive and superyachts in 2018.
“It has been an incredible journey with my father, Alfred. We established Hong Seh Marine together in 2008, when Singapore had not as yet taken to the yachting lifestyle,” says Edward Tan, Executive Director, Hong Seh Group. The father and son team persevered and 2017 was Hong Seh Marine’s best year yet. “We believe our clients have selected us because they are certain that we will remain by their sides throughout their yachting journey. 30 January 2018 – Hong Seh Marine had organised a Castaway party for boaters on 27 January 2018 with BBQ and beers on the Lazarus beach. Despite it has been raining a few days before the castaway party, the weather was perfect on the day itself and a turn out of over 80 boaters who attended with their family and friends were truly unexpected.

23 April 2015 – Hong Seh Marine is exhibiting at the Singapore Yacht Show from 23 to 26 April, presenting three models from Ferretti Group brands, the Ferretti Yachts 690 (debut), Riva 75′ Venere Super, Pershing 64′ and two models from Cranchi Yachts, the Atlantique 43 Fly (debut) and Cranchi 54′ Fly.
The Singapore Yacht Show has been one of the most awaited events in the international boating sector, as it combines world-class yachts, glamorous events, entertainment, and a wide range of highly prestigious products and brands – it is a true journey into the world of luxury. Against such an exclusive background, the brands will be represented at best by the models that embody their brands’ distinctive design and innovative features.
During the last day of the Show, Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group’s CEO, and Stefano de Vivo, Ferretti Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, will meet Singapore’s media and share with them the Group’s sales results in the Asia Pacific region as well as the latest news for the various brands.
Among forthcoming events are the Première of the Ferretti Yachts 870 ‘Tai He Ban’ special edition, which will make its debut in early May in Hong Kong, and the sale of the second Custom Line Navetta 33 Crescendo in the Asia Pacific. The latest achievement, in particular, confirms the great interest for this model – following the launch of the first hull in October 2014 – and for the Custom Line brand, which in less than 3 years has introduced as many as six of its fleet’s maxi yachts into this strategic market.
In particular, the new Riva coupé project will be announced. This is one of the three new models that the brand is going to introduce in 2015. And the first hull has already been sold in the Asia Pacific months before its official debut.
The Cranchi Alantique 43′ Fly will also be making her debut during the show and viewings strictly on an appointment basis.
During one of the four days of the Singapore Yacht Show, Hong Seh Marine will also be hosting a private cocktail for UOB private banking clients.
